Description

The Associate Director should be capable of generating innovative, logical built and non-built form


concept designs, focusing on fine details and delivering on consumer’s expectations. He/she will retain


responsibility for all projects whilst sharing knowledge; coaching, developing and motivating all design


team members. The Associate Director influences the design direction of the team’s work. He/she will


produce and coordinate for completion of all documents of retail commercial/interiors projects.


 


Strategic & Creative thinking


• Lead the team’s creative thinking, generate, and develop concepts that provide an original,


appropriate and effective solution to the creative brief


• Develop own thinking through liaison with Studio Director


• Win the confidence of the client and the team to ensure that ‘big ideas’ are executed with


design excellence


Creative Delivery


• Lead complex 3D design presentations meetings; simplifying the ideas to make them


appropriate;


• Articulate an idea to both an internal and external audience


• Ensure that design work and concept ideas on all projects are of a consistently accurate and


high standard


• Responsible for producing a complete set of design development documents across a variety of


retail and commercial projects in the studio at a high level


• Consistently deliver and make project deadlines on, or ahead of the scheduled delivery date


and within budget


• Acts as first point of contact for clients, MEP consultant to ensure successful coordination of


projects and any required corrections.2


5. POSITION REQUIREMENTS


Level of Education Bachelor degree (5 years) in Architecture/ Interior Design


Experience Minimum 10 years’ experience within a retail design environment
